Not so much text this time as there is a short and fast (stay focused, you might miss it!) timelapse video of the custom cover notebook (or sketchbook). Yes, I also have a frickin youtube channel with speeded up videos of drawings, which were part of what pulled me into drawing in the first place, I wanted to make something like that! Here it goes. Don’t mind my setup and the fact that I was balancing my phone on questionable objects while trying not to go out of frame and not let my hair interfere with the whole thing (which it slightly did, I think it wants to be a movie star). See below!
Mmm, that sweet icing! And the soft muffin bites… with some sprinkle and cherry on top..! No, not a recipe this time, just some sweetness that you can eat by… looking at it?
I love drawing sweets! Muffins, candy, cupcakes, pastries, donuts and all that. First realised this joy because of an assignment for college (I’m about to start senior year at SCAD! Woo~) where we had to draw a whole setting of sweets. It just comes out so pretty! And then I drew a custom illustration for someone cause they also enjoyed the tasty look, so today I’ll showcase a new custom cover design for some notebooks.
I absolutely love painting with watercolors. It might be my favorite painting medium due to how fast the preparation and painting process is. I have a habit of wanting to finish what I start the moment I begin, in one go. Of course, not with bigger and more serious projects.
So here are some in-progress shots of one of my recent paintings of a traditional looking flower pot, I felt like doing something like this, since the last time I did still life was in art school as a kid! I will in the future possibly post about the stuff I use while painting and the personal details that might be useful to beginners, but for now it’s just a brief look into the artwork.
